Why do you need reflective tape perforated

Recently more and more Flame Resistant Clothing is required to use perforated reflective tape instead of normal FR reflective tape. It is not because of the perforated reflective tape fashion enough but it will avoid some safety issues.

According to investigations some cases firemen got injured during the firefighting. Investigators unexpectedly found that the site of the injury was the same shape as the FR reflective tape displayed on the clothing. That’s due to the FR reflective tape being made of FR-treated cotton which is not breathable enough as other reflective fabric. The sweat will be evaporated into steam immediately once meets the fire and can not be discharged. Finally, the firemen got scaled by the steam. That’s why the perforated FR reflective tape is necessary. It is breathable and will discharge steam quickly to avoid injury.
