Development of reflective material in China

China started to develop reflective material since 1960s. Since the 1980s, along with high speed development of transportation such as highway and railway, traffic safety began referring to the agenda. Security has become an issue of concern. More attention is paid to the research and development of reflective material.

By the mid-eighties, China started to make the research and development of reflective fabric. China Textile Academy first researched in this area, with its comprehensive performance; it pioneered the development of the domestic market, for use in roads, railways, sanitation and other departments.
